Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Zillurl Vocab Chrome extension and the related web services (collectively, the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

2. The Service

Zillurl Vocab helps you learn vocabulary from YouTube subtitles using AI-assisted analysis. The Service may provide features such as extracting vocabulary, showing definitions or translations, and syncing saved words and notes across devices.

3. Accounts and sign-in

Some features require signing in with Google. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for any activity that occurs through it.

4. Acceptable use

  • Do not use the Service to violate any law, regulation, or third-party rights.
  • Do not attempt to reverse engineer, interfere with, or disrupt the Service.
  • Do not abuse quotas, automation, or scraping in a way that degrades service for others.

5. Third-party services

The Service relies on third-party services (for example, Zillurl Account sign-in, AI model providers, hosting/CDN providers, and payment processors). Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms and policies.

6. Subscriptions and billing

Paid plans, pricing, and usage limits (if available) are described on the Pricing page and may change over time. If payments are supported, payments are processed by a third-party processor (for example, Stripe), and we do not store your full payment card details on our servers.

7. AI output disclaimer

The Service may use AI to generate vocabulary suggestions, explanations, translations, or summaries. AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate. You are responsible for how you use the output and for verifying it when needed.

8. Your content

You may provide content to the Service such as subtitles (or text derived from subtitles), video metadata, and your own notes. You retain ownership of your content. You grant us a limited license to process your content to operate and improve the Service (for example, to analyze subtitles, cache results, and sync your saved items).

9. Intellectual property

We and our licensors own the Service and its associated intellectual property. These Terms do not grant you any rights to use our trademarks or branding without permission.

10. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Service if you violate these Terms or if we reasonably believe continued access poses a risk to the Service or others. You may stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling the extension and/or deleting your account.

11. Disclaimer of warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

12. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ZILLURL VOCAB WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and may provide additional notice where appropriate.
